Partners

The communities do the work. Partners make it possible, with funding, know-how and networks.

Communities first

Community-based organisations (VOI), local associations, farmers’ associations and nursery management committees: they are the ones who plant, tend and decide.

Favini

Multi-year supporter of the Voiala project

Why Favini got involved

Favini, an Italian paper company based in Rossano Veneto, chose to act in Madagascar in the face of near-total deforestation, exhausted soil and one of the poorest populations in the world.

Its aim: help restore parts of the destroyed forest and protect what remains around Sahavondronina.

What Favini does

  • A commitment over several years.
  • Environmental training and support for sustainable farming.
  • Reviewing, every year, the new village projects Voiala proposes.
  • Following the detailed reports and financial account sent by the project supervisor.

Funders named in the 2025 report

AVERIKO ODV

ADES

Funder and technical partner

Supports the nurseries, run in close collaboration with Voiala. ADES brings its reforestation partners together around three goals: resilience to climate change, better food security and less rural poverty. Voiala took part in its Manakara workshop in 2025.
